Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of japan-ez.com and the Japan-EZ platform (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account, placing an order, or browsing our site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use our Services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

2. Orders & Pricing

  • All orders are subject to availability and confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion.
  • Prices are displayed in your selected currency and exclude applicable taxes, duties, and shipping unless stated otherwise.
  • We make every effort to display accurate product information, but errors in pricing or descriptions may occur. We reserve the right to correct such errors and cancel affected orders.
  • An order confirmation email does not constitute acceptance of your order; it merely confirms receipt. Acceptance occurs when we ship your items.

3. Payment

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Shop Pay, Klarna, and Clearpay. Payment is processed at checkout via secure third-party processors. You authorize us to charge the full order amount including applicable taxes and shipping. All transactions are subject to fraud verification.

4. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping methods, costs, and estimated delivery times are provided at checkout. Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed. Risk of loss and title for items pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. See our Shipping Policy for full details.

5. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations (Consumer Rights)

If you are a UK consumer, you have a statutory right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel most online orders within 14 days of receiving them, for any reason, and a further 14 days to return the goods. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described — if they are not, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund. Certain items (sealed food, opened beauty/personal care, perishables, personalised items) are exempt from the 14-day cancellation right. See our Returns and Refund Policies for full details.

6. Product Descriptions & Authenticity

Japan-EZ sources products directly from Japan and authorised distributors. We guarantee authenticity for all items sold. Product descriptions, images, and specifications are provided for informational purposes and may vary slightly from the actual product due to manufacturer updates or photography.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including logos, trademarks, text, images, graphics, videos, software, and design — is the property of Japan-EZ or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to use our Services for unlawful purposes, transmit harmful code, interfere with site operations, attempt unauthorised access, or engage in fraudulent activity. We may suspend or terminate accounts violating these rules without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (including your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015). Subject to that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Japan-EZ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, and our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

If you are using our Services in the course of a business, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Japan-EZ from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your infringement of any third-party rights. This clause does not apply to consumers.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. We encourage you to contact us first at support@japan-ez.com to resolve any dispute informally. UK consumers may also use the Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr (where applicable).

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
